Book of the Week #4

The Shadowhunters' Codex
By: Cassandra Clare and Joshua Lewis
13568619

Cassandra Clare has made another great book, but this time with the help of Joshua Lewis. "The Shadowhunters' Codex" is for everyone who has read at least one of Cassandra Clare's Shadowhunter books, and had many questions about shadowhunters. I was one of those people that fell in love with her books, and wanted to know all about the rules of the shadowhunters. I know some of you may not have read any of these stories, and I encourage you to give them a try. I reccomend that you start with "The Mortal Instruments" Series before you read "The Shadowhunters' Codex."
This book has all of the rules that a shadowhunter needs. It comes with descriptions of Downworlders, The Shadow World, and many other rules/ recommendations. "The Shadowhunters' Codex" has a special treat in store for everyone who has read "The Mortal Instruments." If you thought that you would only hear from Jace, Clary, Alec, Simon, Isabelle, and Magnus in "The Mortal Instruments" then you were wrong.
You will hear from them in this shadowhunter guide. Along the edges of the pages you can read Jace, Clary, and Simon's opinions of the information about different topics. This book even features an essay written by Magnus on why people become shadowhunters. It also has a training schedule for Clary written by Jace, and has Clary's schedule written by her to show what she really did. When you read that you will be able to see how Clary clearly followed Jace's hard schedule.
Once you have realized that you love Cassandra Clare's shadowhunter stories, you should read "The Shadowhunters' Codex" as soon as you can get your hands on it.

Book of the Week #3

Believe Me I'm Lying

This Week’s book of the week is another Wattpad story. “Believe Me I’m Lying” is a great story for people who like funny romance stories. These funny romance stories involve funny events with great characters, great jokes and comments, but still maintains a slight romantic feel to it.
“Believe Me I’m Lying” is not only a funny romance story, but it also has a bit of sadness sprinkled here and there. This story has funny characters that are hilarious at times, yet when they are serious they could be the sweetest “people” you would ever know.
Harley Allen, a seventeen year old girl, lost both of her parents. Now the only person Harley has left is her little brother, Elliot. Harley finds herself worrying more than a seventeen year old should. In addition, to having to take care of her brother Harley also loses her current job.
Now Harley has no idea what to do next, but what happens when her uncle offers her a job. Only this job has a catch, Harley must work as a teacher at his school. A school that just happens to be for delinquents…
“Believe Me I’m Lying” allows you to see from Harley’s point of view. It also lets you know that although life has its ups and downs, they are all worth it once you find what makes you happy.

Book of the Week #2

Waist-Deep In Walmart

Waist-Deep In Walmart on Wattpad

This "Book of the Week" isn't actually a real book. In fact, this is actually a story that has not yet been published and made into a "real book." I know that once you read "on Wattpad" you thought "What is Wattpad?" Believe me I was thinking the exact the same thing the first time I saw Wattpad. This is a free website where people read and write stories/plays of different genres.
Going back to the story this story takes place in Sandwich, Massachusetts. This setting might seem fake but this small town actually does exist in the state of Massachusetts. This entire story starts due to Ellie's mom who makes her go out to Walmart, during a hurricane to buy... Toilet Paper. The store is closing when Ellie arrives and she sneaks in to buy it. The catch is that she finds out that her crush, Anthony is in the store, and they both end up "Waist-Deep In Walmart" for three days. Due to... You guessed it the category five hurricane.
This is a great story for anyone who likes to read funny stories that have a bit of romance, but not enough for it to be a FULL romance novel. I believe that this story can brighten anyone's day with the funny tales of Ellie, Anthony, Julius, Caroline, and Mason. I'm sure that this story can make you laugh each time you walk into a Walmart for the rest of your life.

My Proof that Sandwich DOES exist.

Book of the Week #1

Graceling
By: Kristin Cashore

This book is great for everyone who enjoys reading about older times, and loves adventure stories. Graceling takes place in the times where there were kingdoms, voyages on ships, and traveling on horseback. In a short explanation Graceling is about a girl named Katsa who was born with a great skill, also known as a "Grace." In these seven kingdoms anyone who is "graced" is either feared or exploited by higher authorities to achieve what they want.
Katsa despises what her grace is, because her grace is being a killer. She is a great fighter and almost invincible, but her uncle king of the Middluns forces her to punish and torture his enemies. Then, she meets Prince Po who becomes her friend, who is a great combat fighter.
Graceling is not only a great story but can also teach you a few things along the way, and keep you entertained at the same time. If you are a person that does not usually enjoy books like this I recommend that you give it a try. This story might be able to change your mind, and leave you wanting to read more. If you already enjoy reading stories like this, Graceling might make that liking grow.
