Book of the Week #4

The Shadowhunters' Codex
By: Cassandra Clare and Joshua Lewis
13568619

Cassandra Clare has made another great book, but this time with the help of Joshua Lewis. "The Shadowhunters' Codex" is for everyone who has read at least one of Cassandra Clare's Shadowhunter books, and had many questions about shadowhunters. I was one of those people that fell in love with her books, and wanted to know all about the rules of the shadowhunters. I know some of you may not have read any of these stories, and I encourage you to give them a try. I reccomend that you start with "The Mortal Instruments" Series before you read "The Shadowhunters' Codex."
This book has all of the rules that a shadowhunter needs. It comes with descriptions of Downworlders, The Shadow World, and many other rules/ recommendations. "The Shadowhunters' Codex" has a special treat in store for everyone who has read "The Mortal Instruments." If you thought that you would only hear from Jace, Clary, Alec, Simon, Isabelle, and Magnus in "The Mortal Instruments" then you were wrong.
You will hear from them in this shadowhunter guide. Along the edges of the pages you can read Jace, Clary, and Simon's opinions of the information about different topics. This book even features an essay written by Magnus on why people become shadowhunters. It also has a training schedule for Clary written by Jace, and has Clary's schedule written by her to show what she really did. When you read that you will be able to see how Clary clearly followed Jace's hard schedule.
Once you have realized that you love Cassandra Clare's shadowhunter stories, you should read "The Shadowhunters' Codex" as soon as you can get your hands on it.

My Top 5 Songs of the Week #2

Top Songs of the Week:
  1. Endlessly By: The CAB
  2. The Way You Look Tonight By: Maroon 5 (a Frank Sinatra Cover)
  3. Demons By: Imagine Dragons
  4. 50 Ways To Say Goodbye By: Train
  5. Forever and Always By: Parachute
As usual all of us music lovers know that sometimes the best songs are a bit older. In fact, most of us have favorite songs that are really old, but still remain at the top of our list.
The #1 spot on my list this week goes out to...(drum roll please) The CAB with their song Endlessly. The Cab has many great songs that you'll probably be hearing from on My Top 5 Songs of the Week. Endlessly is a song about a guy who is willing to do anything for a girl he likes. This guy is also saying that although they are both different he knows that he is perfect for her. This song is very sweet and I would imagine that anyone could fall in love with this song.
Maroon 5 has also made it to my list with their cover of Frank Sinatra's The Way You Look Tonight. This song was in the movie "Valentine's Day." The Way You Look Tonight is a classic in the music world, and if you have not heard it I stand with most people who would say... you have not lived.
Imagine Dragons has made another great song, called Demons. In this song the character is trying to say that you should stay a way from him because he is not a good person on the inside. this is shown when a part in the song says "Don't get too close it's dark inside it's where my demons hide it's where my demons hide." Demons is a great song that is not long, but can make you remember it due to its catchy melody.
Train has another great song called 50 Ways To Say Goodbye. Originally this song was called 50 Ways To Say You Died, but they had to change the title. Their original song title makes more sense considering that some of the lyrics go like this "She went down in an airplane fried getting suntan fell in a cement mixer full of quicksand."
Forever and Always By: Parachute is a great yet, sad and touching song. This song is basically narrating a situation in which people around the world have experienced. Forever and Always talks about a woman who gets a call from the hospital that her fiance has been injured. She then goes to the hospital, but even though she does many things to try to keep him with her he ends up dying after saying "I'll love you forever, forever and always please just remember even if I'm not there I'll always love you, forever and always."

Book of the Week #3

Believe Me I'm Lying
By: Jordan Lynde

This Week’s book of the week is another Wattpad story. “Believe Me I’m Lying” is a great story for people who like funny romance stories. These funny romance stories involve funny events with great characters, great jokes and comments, but still maintains a slight romantic feel to it.
“Believe Me I’m Lying” is not only a funny romance story, but it also has a bit of sadness sprinkled here and there. This story has funny characters that are hilarious at times, yet when they are serious they could be the sweetest “people” you would ever know.
Harley Allen, a seventeen year old girl, lost both of her parents. Now the only person Harley has left is her little brother, Elliot. Harley finds herself worrying more than a seventeen year old should. In addition, to having to take care of her brother Harley also loses her current job.
Now Harley has no idea what to do next, but what happens when her uncle offers her a job. Only this job has a catch, Harley must work as a teacher at his school. A school that just happens to be for delinquents…
“Believe Me I’m Lying” allows you to see from Harley’s point of view. It also lets you know that although life has its ups and downs, they are all worth it once you find what makes you happy.
