Now that it is the month of December I wanted to dedicate a post to a few of the many great movies that came out in the wonderful year of... 2013. December brings around the coldness, but also lets us know that a new year is coming. A new year full of great new experiences, and more great movies. Today I decided to dedicate this year's top 3 movies, to some of my favorites. These being "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones", "The Call", and "World War Z".
My top movie of the year would have to be "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones". This movie was almost equal to its book "City of Bones" and had a few things that convinced me to put it as #1 on my list. First of all, this movie had great actors, great effects, great plot, and (saving the best for last) great action scenes. Jamie Campbell Bower and Lily Collins were the main actors of this movie and in my opinion were chosen for the right roles. If you have not seen this movie yet I recommend you see it. It should be out in your choice of DVD rental location because it came out on December 3rd.
"The Call" was very close to becoming my top 2013 movie, but I knew I wouldn't want "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" to not get that spot. Halle Berry was part of the reason that made "The Call" one of my top movies. She was a great choice of actress to play the character named Jordan Turner. Halle played the role of a 911 operator, and risked everything to save Casey Welson (Abigail Breslin) from being hurt and killed by Michael Foster (Micheal Eklund). "The Call" was a great movie for everyone who loves watching suspense and drama movies.
I know that most of us love supernatural movies, and we all love zombie movies. That is why I chose "World War Z" as my 3rd top movie of 2013. Brad Pitt has yet again starred in another great movie. This time he was a critical person to save the world from a zombie invasion. He risked his life to save everyone in the world, and even the zombies that were changing people. "World War Z" is definitely a great movie for anyone who is not frightened very easily.
I hope most of you agree with my choices, and if you have any movie recommendations for me I'll be happy to at least see part of them (depending on how scared I could get).
